Quincy Allen Flint

Quincy began writing original music at the outset of the COVID19 pandemic. In 2021, Quincy was nominated for the Songwriter Of The Year by The Songwriters Showcase of America. He is a regular at The Florida Folk Festival in White Springs, Florida, the Will McClean Festival in Brooksville, Florida, and the Heartwood Soundstage Music Festival in Gainesville, Florida.

Quincy current resides in Maryland but has travelled the country performing his music. He has shared the stage with Joe Crookston, Nicholas Edward Williams, Jack Williams and has played host to Tommy Emmanuel, Richard Smith, Roy Bookbinder, and many others. He composes original songs ranging in style from Conventional American Folk, Classic Country Western, to Melodic Piedmont Blues and Talkin’ Blues. His musical influences include Townes Van Zandt, Mississippi John Hurt, and Doc Watson.

Quincy earned his doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering but has chosen to sing folk songs and ballads for a living. His music frequently draws on imagery from nature and reflects on the trials and trivialities of the human experience.
